We often ask ourselves, are we where we want to be, where we believe we're supposed to be in our life journey? How will we know when we get there?
 Michael Gaffney, APR is Vice President - Marketing & Communications for United Way of Summit County, a position he has held for almost 10 years. In that time the organization has achieved several record high fundraising drives, as well as dramatic growth in public awareness and positive opinion of the organization's effectiveness.
He wrote and produced United Way's award-winning 90th Anniversary video. Michael has received a Distinguished Sales & Marketing Award (2007) and the Akron Jaycees Distinguished Service Award (2003). He is past president of the Akron Chapter PRSA, and serves as professional liaison to the University of Akron Chapter PRSSA. He currently teaches Public Relations Writing at the University of Akron. His wife Corina is an Assistant Summit County Prosecutor, and they are the proud parents of two daughters, Elise, 19 and Tessa, 16. In his free time, Michael plays guitar and sings in the Irish pub band, Fergie & the Bog Dogs. |
